THE WHY
Why I Created iMorley Digital Solutions
WHY I STARTED iMORLEY
WHY I STARTED iMORLEY
After 20 years in finance, I’d kept seeing the same thing: Talented people bogged down by manual, low-value work. Constantly working ridiculous hours, fixing spreadsheets, reconciling data.
Running manual processes that didn’t need to be manual — and never getting time to focus on the (yes, a cliché, but absolutely relevant) value-added work. And on and on and on…
Every time I witnessed it; I thought the same thing…
… “There’s got to be a Better Way”
Outside of the day job, I got obsessed — breaking and rebuilding spreadsheets, chasing smarter ways of working, testing what tools could really do when you pushed them.
That curiosity spread from Excel to Power Automate, to wider finance systems — and over the years, I racked up close to 20,000 hours doing more than just the job. I was experimenting, refining, and unlocking capabilities most teams don’t even know are at their fingertips.
I never set out to be a fixer — but I couldn’t stand watching good people waste their time on broken processes which is what drove me to invest in myself.
I learned how to streamline the messy stuff, automate the repetitive bits, and build solutions that gave me — and the teams around me — back control of the day.
I’ve worked across every corner of a finance team — from transactions to management accounts to systems roles.
I’ve managed teams, led a 30-strong finance function, delivered system overhauls, and seen how change goes wrong when it’s not grounded in reality.
In my experience, many processes are outdated, manual, and frustrating.
Not because people don’t care — but because they’ve not had the time, headspace, or support to fix them. Everyone means to sort it… but then it’s month-end again.
Sometimes it’s because the people who built the process aren’t there anymore — and the knowledge walked out with them.
And now? I’ve got an opportunity to do for others what I’ve done for myself and the teams I’ve worked with.
Whether it’s fixing what’s broken, building what’s missing, or helping a team regain control after someone key moved on — I’m here to support businesses that want to move forward, not just keep things ticking.

I want to spark curiosity, build pride in how things work, and leave every team asking:
“What else can we fix?”
That’s why I created iMorley Digital Solutions.
Not to criticise how things are — but to offer a smarter, more sustainable way forward.
One that frees up time and gets people focused on the work that actually matters.
